The United States ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard has paid a courtesy visit to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, one of the National Leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The ambassador was accompanied by the Deputy Chief of Mission in Nigeria, Kathleen FitzGibbon.
The duo had a discussion with Tinubu in his Abuja residence, which sources say is likely connected to the heat generated by the upcoming Edo state governorship election.
