Tinubu Meets Dogara In Abuja

Tinubu and Dogara
One of the national leaders of the ruling APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has held a closed door meeting with the immediate past speaker of the House of Reps, Yakubu Dogara and other notable politicians from his home state of Bauchi.

The meeting which took place in Tinubu's residence in Abuja, is said to be connected with positioning for a Muslim Southern and Christian Northern candidates for the 2023 presidency. This is said to be part of the reasons Dogara returned to the APC.

Sources say the only way Tinubu, a Muslim from South-west Nigeria will have a shot at the presidency is to have a strong Christian like Dogara from the North, as it won't be possible for him to pair with a Northern Muslim to avoid a Muslim/Muslim ticket.

Also present at the meeting over the weekend is President Muhammadu Buhari's minister of education, Adamu Adamu as well as the Bauchi state APC chairman.
