Funke Akindele Celebrates Birthday With Lovely Photos

Actress and producer Funke Akindele turns 43 and she's super excited about her new age. The mother of twins was born on August 24, 1977, in Ikorodu, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Funke came into the limelight after starring in popular United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)-sponsored sitcom - I Need To Know, which ran from 1998 to 2002. She played Bisi, a curious but highly intelligent secondary school student. 

Funke Akindele's big break in the Nigerian movie industry came sometime in 2008 when she appeared in the movie Jenifa. HBD to her!
